Notes

Base regulation (Ley 2/2011, Ley 6/2018, Decretos 182/2012 and 205/2012) and the registration procedure were confirmed via BOE, DOE, and juntaex.es. Notable finding: unlike most regions, no evidence was found that Extremadura has a legally distinct 'vivienda de uso turística' (VUT) figure separate from 'apartamento turístico' — the Junta de Extremadura itself defers to tourist-apartment rules 'until a specific VUT regulation is approved,' which wasn't found to have been approved as of this verification. This is an important structural difference versus Andalucía, Madrid, Cataluña, etc.: there's no standalone 'VUT' figure with its own registration code. Not found in a public official source: the exact penalty breakdown, and any municipal layer in the region's large cities (Badajoz, Cáceres, Mérida) — no municipal VUT/tourist-apartment ordinance was found for these cities.
