A declaración responsable (sworn compliance statement) to start, modify, or end tourist-apartment activity, filed with the Junta de Extremadura (procedure w/5826), with a fee (modelo 050), proof of ownership or usage rights, a descriptive report with floor plans, a price list, and civil liability insurance.

No autonomous figure distinct from "apartamento turístico" was found for "vivienda de uso turística" (VUT): the Junta de Extremadura regulates both under the tourist-apartment category (blocks of homes, apartments, houses, and similar buildings let for payment with tourist lodging service and their own kitchen), pending — per secondary sources — a VUT-specific rule that wasn't confirmed as approved.
