Tourist rental registration in Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla
How and where a tourist rental is registered in Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla, how guests are reported and how long the registration lasts.
Melilla: fines of up to €3,000 under its Tourism Regulation (2010)
Melilla has no regulation of its own for tourist homes. Its Tourism Regulation applies: responsible declaration and automatic entry in the Registry, and fines of up to €750 (minor), €751–1,500 (serious) and €1,501–3,000 (very serious). Source: BOME extraordinary no. 12, 29-07-2010.

Registration
Registro de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas de la Ciudad Autónoma de Melilla
To open a tourist accommodation, a declaración responsable (responsible declaration) is filed with Melilla's tourism authority (with civil-liability insurance and the minimum infrastructure requirements). Filing it allows the activity to start and leads to automatic (ex officio) entry in the Registro de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas (arts. 9 and 10, Tourism Regulation, Decreto 351/2010). The Regulation covers «apartamentos turísticos» (rented commercially on a regular basis, art. 19); it does not define its own «vivienda de uso turístico» category.
