How and where a tourist rental is registered in País Vasco, how guests are reported and how long the registration lasts.

Registro de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas de Euskadi
A declaración responsable (sworn compliance statement) filed with the Tourism and Hospitality Directorate (Basque Government's Department of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs), which triggers registration. The authority may verify the statement's contents and supporting documents at any time. In areas declared as tense residential-market zones, new tourist homes and rooms are automatically suspended and are not entered in the Register while the zone declaration lasts (art. 20.4 of Ley 13/2016, as amended by Ley 6/2025, in force since 30-12-2025).
