Tourist rental registration in Galicia
How and where a tourist rental is registered in Galicia, how guests are reported and how long the registration lasts.
Registration
Registro de Empresas y Actividades Turísticas de Galicia (REAT)
A declaración responsable (sworn compliance statement, procedure TU986D: activity start, notice of changes, and cessation) filed with the provincial office of the Galician Tourism Agency, using the Annex V form. Registration in the REAT happens ex officio, with a 15-day notification deadline from filing (art. 43). Changes must be reported within 10 days.

VUT (tourist-use home) — handed over to third parties repeatedly (2 or more times a year) for payment, for stays under 30 consecutive days. Decreto 12/2017 distinguishes this figure from "vivienda turística" (a stand-alone single-family establishment, professionally run, with its own classification, max. 10 guests) — VUT has no category-based classification.
Guest registration
System: SES.Hospedajes, reported within 24h of arrival.
